Lost your MEPCO bill, or it never arrived? You can get a duplicate copy online from the official PITC bill service, or in person from MEPCO. PITC describes its service in one line: “Download or print a pixel-perfect duplicate bill for payment at any branch.” This guide explains the online route first, then the app and office options. To open your bill now, check your MEPCO bill with our checker; the official PITC page opens in a new tab.
What you need
To open a duplicate bill online, you need one of the two numbers the official form accepts:
- your 14-digit reference number, or
- your Customer ID.
The official form does not offer a search by CNIC or meter number. If you are not sure which number you have, our reference number guide explains what the form expects.
How to get a MEPCO duplicate bill online
- Open the official bill page. Use our checker, or go to the PITC “MEPCO Web Bill” page at bill.pitc.com.pk/mepcobill. MEPCO’s own website links its “MEPCO Bill” menu item to this page.
- Choose the number type. Reference No is selected by default. Choose Customer ID if that is the number you have.
- Enter the digits. Type the number using digits only, with no spaces or dashes. If you see “Given Ref/App No is invalid”, the number is too short, too long or contains something other than digits.
- View your bill. Your bill appears on the official PITC page in a new tab.
- Print or save it. PITC says its service lets you download or print a duplicate bill. Use the download or print option on the PITC page.
Helpful tip
Keeping a downloaded copy on your phone means you will have it ready the next time someone asks for it, without searching again.
PITC’s duplicate bills page
PITC also has a page headed “Online Duplicate Electricity Bills”, which lists MEPCO among the electricity companies whose bills are available online and links to bill.pitc.com.pk. That page is a list of links only. It does not give step-by-step instructions or payment information, so the steps above are the practical route.
The same PITC bill service covers 11 electricity distribution companies in total, so make sure you choose MEPCO and not another company when you start from PITC’s main page.
Using the MEPCO SMART app
MEPCO’s website has a page for its mobile app, called MEPCO SMART. Among the services it lists is “Pay Bill”, described as a “Service to download bill and pay bill online”. The app page links to the App Store and Google Play. Download the app only through the links on the official MEPCO app page.
Getting a duplicate bill from MEPCO
The rules for duplicate bills are in the NEPRA Consumer Service Manual 2025, published on mepco.com.pk. The manual is written for all electricity distribution companies, which it calls “DISCOs”, and MEPCO publishes it on its website.
Under clause 10.3.1(k), a duplicate bill can be issued on the same day by:
- the SDO of your sub-division,
- the Revenue Officer (RO), or
- the in-charge of a Customer Services Centre.
The same clause says consumers with internet access can also download the bill from the company’s website, and clause 6.6.2 says the bill shall be available on the website for downloading and payment. On MEPCO’s website, the “MEPCO Bill” menu item leads to the official PITC bill page used in the steps above.
MEPCO’s own FAQ also says duplicate bills are available at its customer service centres. If you prefer a printed copy, or you cannot open the bill online, this is the official in-person route.
To find a phone number for an office near you, MEPCO’s contact page offers circle-wise telephone directories as PDF files. The same page lists the general contact phone number 0319-9757789 and the email address [email protected].
If your bill does not arrive
A duplicate bill solves the problem for one month. If your bills regularly do not reach you on time, MEPCO’s FAQ advises contacting your sub-division office. If you are in Multan, our MEPCO bill check for Multan guide lists the head office and complaint routes.
Important
Pay only through channels you trust. The PITC complaint portal warns consumers not to pay for electricity services through Easypaisa, JazzCash or direct bank transfers to an individual’s account. This site never asks for payment details.
